The thought of the Communist Party of China on cultural construction has undergone a logical evolution from attaching importance to cultural construction to building a big cultural power and then to building a strong cultural power.The Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC)proposed that to promote Chinese-style modernization and further deepen reform in an all-round way,we must focus on the strategic focus of build-ing a socialist cultural power,and better cultivate the spiritual force to promote Chinese-style modernization.To build a so-cialist cultural power in the new era and new journey,we must clarify the profound connotation and important significance of building a cultural power,determine the coordinates of cultural construction from the overall strategic height of national development,clarify the direction of cultural construction from the perspective of future planning for national rejuvenation,and open up a new picture of civilization creation from the perspective of value choice of human liberation.From the perspec-tive of the unity of diachronic and synchronicity,we should pay attention to the inheritance and promotion of cultural spirit,the empowerment and efficiency of cultural industry,and the shaping and optimization of cultural image.
