Objective To assess the hazard of N-nitrosodimethylamine and estimate the acceptable intake level. Methods The toxicological data of N-nitrosodimethylamine were collected by systematic literature search.Hazard identification and hazard characteristics of NDMA were described, and the acceptable level of chronic daily intake(CDI)was estimated. Results Based on the carcinogenic intensity of NDMA and the baseline population risk of cancer, the chronic acceptable intake level of NDMA was not more than 0.02ng/kg·bw/d by estimating. Conclusion The CDI of NDMA can be used as a reference for population risk assessment.
