The Bimo culture is the core of the Yi ethnic religious culture,the guarantee for inheriting and continuing the excellent culture of the Yi ethnic group,and an important component of traditional Chinese culture.But,there has been an unprecedented crisis in the inheritance of Bimo culture with the development of the economy and society.In order to better inherit and develop Bimo culture,the article conducted on-site investigations in Xide County and Xichang City,and combined with individual interviews with Bimo,found that the transmission of Bimo culture is affected by market shrinkage and poor returns from Bimo in Liangshan.The group size of Bimo and Bijia(disciples)has sharply decreased,and the level of ceremony has gradually lost its connotation,which leading to the risk of a gap in the inheritance of Bimo culture.The article discusses and ponders on how to better inherit the Bimo culture at present.
