A Research on the Development of Academies of Classical Learning,Culture and Education in Jianshui Area of southern Yunnan during the Ming and Qing Dynasties
As a special educational institution in Chinese history,academiesof classical learning played a positive role in promoting the development of local cultural and educational undertakings.At the same time,academies were also the main venue for the implementation of Confucian education in the dynasty,and were one of the strategies for the dynasty to solidify its cultural and educational borders.As a multi-ethnic and multicultural cultural and geographical category,southern Yunnan had many academies during the Ming and Qing dynasties.As an important town in southern Yunnan during the Ming and Qing dynasties,Jianshui area was highly representative.Taking the academies in the Jianshui area as a starting point,the historical context presents the role of academies in promoting local cultural and educational development in order to present the cultural and educational governance of the Ming and Qing dynasties in the southwestern region.
