Embodied-Cognitive Linguistics(ECL)remedies the shortcomings of emphasizing"ren"but neglecting"ti"in Cognitive Linguistics and its core principle is"reality(ti)—cognition(ren)—language",which can be refined as"reality(ti)—conceptual contents and conceptual structure(ren)—language".The paper accordingly analyzes the embodied cognitivity of Zaoxingdebiaoxian in English and Chinese and deems that it is the product of ti-ren.Due to special conceptual structure of Zaoxingdebiaoxian,its expressive manner is piecturesque description of conceptual contents,which can be thought of as"ti"based on embodiment;its conceptual meaning is the inference deduced from"ti",which can be thought of as"ren"based on conceptual structure.The former is expressed and the latter is implied which exposes the fundamentality of"ti"and the abstraction of"ren".Embodied cognitivity of Zaoxingdebiaoxian also displays the features of metaphtonymic,pluralist,interactive and a unity of opposites.
