National Governance and Local Response in the Minzu Areas in Southeast Guizhou during the Republic of China:Centered on the East Guizhou Incident
The"East Guizhou Incident"was a large-scale civil revolt in the border areas of Hunan and Guizhou where ethnic minorities lived in compact communities during the Anti-Japanese War.It shocked the whole home front. The early violent entry of the state administrative power and the objective heterogeneity between Miao and Han regions has led to continuous conflicts between Miao,Han,and officials and civilians in the process of nationalization. The nationalist government's continuous integration of"national nationalism"as the guiding ideology surpassed the former Qing Dynasty but could not surpass the times, and under the goal of"Anti-Japanese War and founding of the People's Republic of China",there were differences and conflicts of interests. The national identity of multi-ethnic countries is not always consistent with the national identity, and even contradicts each other.Summarizing and absorbing the experience and lessons of the Republic of China government in the governance of minority areas in southeast Guizhou is conducive to further building the sense of community of the Chinese nation.
