Action Research on Transforming College Students'Habits of Minds to Promote Their English Learning
Based on the perspective of transformative learning theory,this paper conducted an action research featuring critical reflection on the students of Special Education major of Grade 2019 and Computer Science and Technology of Grade 2020 in Qiongtai Normal University,in order to transform their habit of mind that contains the value,confidence and learning habits of the students in the experimental class in English learning.Through action research,the experimental class has achieved an increase in CET-4 passing rate,foreign language degree achievement rate and average score compared with the control class,which proves that the action research of transformative learning has a better role in promoting the students'college English learning in the experimental class.This further confirms that transformative learning is an effective method to promote adult learning.
