Abstract
Located at the forefront of the armed struggle against Japan,Jin-Cha-Ji was the first and only base area officially recognized by the Nationalist Government's Executive Yuan and Military Committee during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.Since its establishment,Jin-Cha-Ji immediately gained high symbolic value in public opinion.By examining the frontline reports of left-wing intellectuals, the political propaganda of the Communist Party of China, and the Utopian imaginations of Westerners, this study aims to reconstruct the"historical occurrence"of local narratives about the Jin-Cha-Ji Base Area.
