COVID-19 is spreading human suffering worldwide.Although the size and persistence of the economic impact is unknowable,it has become clear that it has the potential to derail eco-nomic globalization.The World Trade Organization(WTO),as one of the important organizations for global economic governance,was already facing severe challenges before the outbreak,and the COVID-19 pandemic has caused it to experience an existential crisis.After struggling with the challenge of COVID-19 and returning to work and production,China began to contribute its experi-ence and assistance to the global response to COVID-19.However,it was faced with the absurd situation of the United States stigmatizing the name of the virus and demanding compensation from China by using the pandemic as an excuse.Many of the United States'destructive actions led to a sharp decline in China-US relations.Facing the international environment's"darkest hour",this paper will analyze and judge the impact of COVID-19 on the world economy,economic globalization and the WTO,as well as how China should face these challenges.
