The global economic and trade landscape has currently changed, and the necessary reform of the WTO has become the consensus of member states. As of May 2019,the United States,Japan, and the EU had issued six joint ministerial statements on WTO reform. It is worth noting that some issues in these statements are not simply involved with their coordinated posi-tions,rather have become the topic of their joint actions which are in the process of being shaped or have already taken shape. This article analyzes the reform ideas commonly agreed to by the world's major economies, especially the United States,Japan, and the EU,and their causes,aim-ing at providing insights for China in their bid to drive future WTO reform negotiations to a direction in favor of China's development.
