It is pivotal to prevent individual extreme violent crimes due to its great harm to society.Investigation data profiling combines data technology in the era of big data with investigation technology,which provides a new idea for the prevention of individual extreme violent crime.This paper discusses the feasibility of the application of investigation data profiling in the prevention of individual extreme violent crimes in terms of crime causes,technical support,and information carriers.The implementation steps of applying investigation data profiling to prevent such crime include data collection,data processing,profiling,and early warning.The aim of the practice is to make a prediction of the location,the perpetrator,and the victim of the next crime.
