Application of AHP-FCE Method in Fire Risk Assessment of Ancient Buildings
Most of China's ancient buildings have a low fire resistance, resulting in swift flame spread upon igni-tion,leading to substantial damage. To accurately discern fire hazards of ancient buildings and evaluate the magnitude of fire risk, this paper proposes a fire risk assessment framework for ancient buildings based on empirical findings and relevant regulations. The method of analytic hierarchy process(AHP)was employed to determine the weight of each evaluation criterion, while the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation(FCE)approach determined the fire risk grade of the ancient buildings. To verify the precision of this assessment method,an ancestral hall was selected as an example to assess its fire risk by the use of the AHP-FCE fire risk assessment method. The results show that this method can effectively assess the fire risk of ancient buildings. In response to its vulnerabilities, specific prevention strategies and measures are proposed.
