This paper discusses Zhu Junsheng's achievements in sorting out and studying Shuowen,which is mainly reflected in the breakthrough of rhyme typesetting method in style,which provides a lot of data for etymological research.Fine collation has contributed to restoring the original appearance of Xu book.Accurate interpretation of word meaning provides a basis for understanding the interpretation of Shuowen.This paper reveals the meaning system of Chinese characters through the extension of words and the interpretation of false borrowed meaning,which provides convenience for people to grasp the meaning of Chinese characters and corpus for dictionary compilation.The sophisticated glyph interpretation corrects some mistakes in Xu's glyph analysis.The article also points out some deficiencies in the study of Zhu's Shuowen.
