The words"Shou(收),Mu(牧)"and"Fang(放)"are commonly confused in ancient books handed down from generation to generation.It is proved that the writing in the era of manuscripts is due to its similarity.By investigating the unearthed bamboo slips,inscriptions and manuscripts of the Sui and Tang Dynasties,we can find that this situation lasted from the Han Dynasty to the end of the era of manuscripts.After the large-scale popularization of block printed books in the Five Dynasties and the Northern Song Dynasty,although there are still relics,they have been left behind.If we pay attention to some often misunderstood characters,it is very helpful to collate ancient books.
