"功能—形式"映射在自动写作评价中的应用

摘要
基于语料库的写作研究揭示了一系列能够显著预测写作质量的语言形式特征,为自动写作评价提供了重要参考.然而,在实际语言使用中,语言使用者通常从功能出发,选择适当的语言表达形式,因此"功能—形式"映射的适切性是写作质量评估中不可忽视的关键层面.鉴于此,近期写作研究逐渐从单一的语言形式分析或语篇功能分析,转向"功能—形式"映射研究.本文通过综述相关研究,阐述了语言形式特征、功能特征、"功能—形式"映射与写作质量之间的关系,凸显了语言形式特征和功能特征在反映写作质量上的局限性,强调了"功能—形式"映射在写作质量评价中的必要性,讨论了功能与形式映射在自动写作评价中的应用,并尝试提出了人工智能时代相关研究的发展方向.
Abstract
Corpus-based writing research has revealed a range of linguistic forms that can significantly predict writing quality,providing important insights for automated writing evaluation.However,in real-world language usage,language users choose appropriate language forms to achieve particular communicative functions.Therefore,the appropriateness of"function-form"mappings should be a critical aspect of writing quality assessment.In light of this observation,recent writing research has gradually shifted its focus from the analysis of language forms or functions in isolation to the exploration of"function-form"mappings.Through a review of relevant studies,this paper elucidates the relationship of linguistic forms,functions,and"function-form"mappings to writing quality.We highlight the limitations of form-based or function-based writing quality evaluation and the importance of incorporating"function-form"mappings for writing assessment.We further discuss the application of"function-form"mappings in automated writing evaluation and suggest potential avenues for research in the era of artificial intelligence.
