An Analysis of the Demand for Home-based Community Elderly Care Services for Urban Residents Based on the Kano Model
The Plan for the Development of National Undertakings for the Aged and Elderly Care Service System during the 14th Five-Year Plan Period clearly defines the objectives for the construction of an elderly care service system during the period.By accurately under-standing the service needs of the elderly in home communities,the planning objectives can be more accurately achieved.In this study,firstly,the index system of urban residents'needs for home-based community elderly care service and a Kano questionnaire were designed.249 valid responses were collected from home-based elderly people in 10 communities in Jiangmen City.Secondly,the Kano model was used to make demand attribute frequency statistics,better-worse matrix analysis and demand index sensitivity analysis of the questionnaire data,and the classification results of charm attribute,expectation attribute,essential attribute and undifferentiated attribute were obtained.Finally,the overall demand improvement strategy and the demand improvement strategy for the four types of demand attributes as well as the priority im-provement order of 4 types of demand attributes and demand indicators in each demand attribute were proposed.
