Research on and Interpretation of Nonstandard-form Characters in Longquan Judicial Archives
Longquan Judicial Archives are local court archives accumulated in Longquan County,Zhejiang Province,during the late Qing and the Republic of China periods.It is a trove of handwritten paper documents with numerous nonstandard-form Chinese characters,which cause difficulties in accurately interpreting and organizing the archives.This paper selects eight such characters"()""()""()""()""()""()""()""()"for textual interpretation,hoping to clear the obstacles in the interpretation and organization of Longquan Judicial Archives,promote the development of nonstandard-form Chinese characters,and provide font materials for the compilation of Chinese dictionaries.
