A Comparative Study of the Development Characteristics of Diaspora Investments in China and India
Both China and India are major countries with abundant diaspora resources, but the characteristics of diaspora investments en-tering these two countries differ significantly. By comparing diaspora investments in China and India, it can be observed that the proportion of diaspora investments in foreign capital and the differences in the industries that diaspora investment flows into are quite evident. The reasons for these differences lie in the different positioning of foreign capital in the two countries, varying degrees of preferential policies towards di-aspora investments, as well as differences in diaspora resource characteristics and distribution. These findings are of great significance for understanding the role of diaspora investments in promoting the economic development of the home countries.
