The Scientific Principle of the Theory System of Jiangmen School of Confucianism
Jiangmen School of Confucianism was of exuberant vitality, which was inseparable from the scientific principle of its theoret-ical system. First, it took the theory of vitality as the material basis of its theoretical system, which embodies the materialistic principle of the Confucian theoretical system. Secondly, it always adhered to the research path of explaining the mind from a noumenal view, and elucidated the essence of mental integrity and being through the characteristics of mental integrity and being, thus avoiding the subjective arbitrariness in explaining the mind. Thirdly, it attached great importance to the balance of enlightenment and experience, paying attention to both dynamic observation and perception and static cultivation and storage, stressing naturalness and spontaneity and forming a work theory system that combined internal and external, dynamic and difficult elements. The scientific principle of Jiangmen School of the Confucian theoretical system played an important role and was of great significance in correcting the phenomenon of fluidness and fanaticness in the Confucianistic epistemology of the middle and late Ming Dynasty and in the healthy development of Confucianism.
