摘要
翻译与知识、翻译与学科之间的关系,远比人们想象的要复杂得多.自主知识的建构,是我国当下学界积极思考的议题之一.其前提则是知来处晓何往.现代的知识结构体系,往往区分为不同的学科知识体系.我国的学科体系在不同程度上建基于西方学科体系,征用西方学科发展模式.因此,梳理翻译与我国近现代学科生成与发展的密切关系,实为当下翻译研究迫切之急务.范梦栩撰写的《英美社会学著作汉译史研究(1902-1949)》尽管只论述了将近50年的国外(尤其是英美)社会学著作汉译史,却为相关研究提供了很好的借鉴与启示.
Abstract
The relationship between translation and knowledge,as well as between translation and academic disciplines,is far more intricate than commonly assumed.The construction of independent knowledge systems is one of the pressing issues under active consideration in contemporary Chinese academia.A prerequisite for such endeavors is an understanding of their origins and future directions.Modern knowledge systems are often categorized into distinct disciplinary frameworks.To varying degrees,China's academic structure is based on and adapted from Western disciplinary systems,borrowing from their developmental models.Therefore,an urgent task in current translation studies is to explore the close connections between translation and the formation and development of modern academic disciplines in China.Although Fan Mengxu's A Study of the History of Chinese Translations of Anglo-American Sociological Works(1902-1949)focuses on only fifty years of translation history of foreign(particularly Anglo-American)sociological works into Chinese,it offers valuable insights and inspiration for further research in this field.
