College Foreign Language Education and Teacher Development in the Context of Interdis-ciplinary Development
Against the backdrop of promoting Chinese-style modernization and the high-quality devel-opment of foreign language education,college foreign language education in China is at a criti-cal period of transformation and development.Faced with the challenges and opportunities brought by interdisciplinary development and digital transformation,college foreign language ed-ucation and its teaching staff urgently need to adapt to the changes of the times.This article ana-lyzes the historical trajectory of the development of foreign language disciplines in China,point-ing out that college foreign language education should strengthen interdisciplinary integration in response to the demands of globalization and information technology development,and actively adopt modern technological means to innovate teaching and research methods,in order to culti-vate practical foreign language talents who possess a global vision and are capable of cross-cul-tural communication.Through case analysis,this article also discusses the paths for college for-eign language teachers to enhance their professional quality,expand their knowledge areas,and explore new directions in teaching and research,emphasizing the importance of teachers in pro-moting innovation and development in foreign language education.
