人工智能技术的发展,对外国语言文学学科和专业产生了极大的冲击,使其陷入了招生和就业的双重困境,甚至到了危机四伏的地步.这种困境既是学科和专业发展到一定历史阶段的内在规律使然,也是中国经济社会乃至世界经济形势的外部因素所致.如何摆脱学科和专业发展的现实困境是摆在学界的一个重大命题.在技术革命日新月异的背景下,外国语言文学学科和专业若想找到适合自身发展的出路,就必须以更广阔的格局,主动适应经济社会发展的需要,充分发挥各个高校的学科特色与优势,着力培养分类卓越的数字外语类专业人才.作为人才培养的关键,教师必须不断优化自身的知识结构,持续提升科技人文能力和素养.
Crisis,Change,and Vision:Dire Straits and Possible Outlets for the Programs of Foreign Languages and Literature in the Epoch of Artificial Intelligence
The rapid advancements in artificial intelligence have tangibly and substantially impacted on the programs of foreign languages and literature,the dire straits of which is found itself in some dual predicaments of enrollment and employment,besetting,in a sense,with crisis.The predicaments are,in actuality,the interactions between the inherent laws of the program reaching a critical historical juncture and the external factors influenced by China's economic and societal transformations,as well as global economic conditions.It is imperative for the academia to fig-ure out possible outlets to extricate the programs from dire straits.In the context of an ever-evolving technological revolution,the programs of foreign languages and literature must,with broad vision,actively innovate,by virtue of the unique disciplinary characteristics and strengths of each institution,align with the demands of economic and social progress,with an aim to turn out more talented students specialized in digital professionals and foreign language skills.The key to success is the continuous enhancement of teachers'knowledge structures and the refine-ment of their scientific and humanistic competencies.
