Translator Behavior Research Within the Framework of Corpus-Based Critical Transla-tion Studies:Frontiers and Prospects
This article,in light of an analysis of the definition, features and commonalities of corpus-based critical translation studies and translator behavior criticism, aims at reflecting on the main research areas and its current status of translator behavior research within the framework of cor-pus-based critical translation studies, and shedding light on its future development.Four primary research areas were identified:studies on individual translator behaviors, comparative research on the translator behaviors of different translator groups, comparative study of translator behav-iors of different translators of the same original work, and the research on the interplay of transla-tor identity, translator roles and translator behavior.Despite the progress being made in recent years, more is to be learned about translator behaviors.Researchers need to further consider the issue from the perspective of non-literary translators and interpreters, the influence of ideology on translator behavior over time together with its mechanism, and the translator behavior in ma-chine translation.
