Constructing a Developmental Assessment System for Participants in an Online Teaching-Research Community
This paper presents a developmental assessment system for evaluating learning outcomes in an online professional learning community based on the dialectical research paradigm.Recogniz-ing the diverse needs of learners, the authors adopt a developmental assessment within the frame-work,focusing on tracking the long-term development and potential of learners. The framework incorporates 3 primary indicators,9 secondary indicators, and 22 tertiary indicators, aiming to provide a comprehensive assessment of the learning outcomes for the participants of the cloud community.According to the"Cloud Interconnectedness Theory",the primary indicators are identified as cognitive interconnectedness, social interconnectedness, and emotional interconnect-edness.Based upon these dimensions,a set of concrete evaluation indicators is proposed. In terms of evidence collection,a multi-stage,multi-method strategy is adopted to enhance the reli-ability and accuracy of the assessment results. The paper also highlights some key issues that warrant attention when applying this evaluation framework.
