Knowledge Sharing Practices Among University Foreign Language Teachers in a Virtual Professional Learning Community:A Case Study
Guided by the theory of Communities of Practice, this case study explores the knowledge sharing practices of university foreign language teachers and the factors that influence these practices within a virtual professional learning community dedicated to the innovation of foreign language teaching.Multiple sources of data, including teachers' reflective journals,open-ended questionnaires, teacher interviews, seminar recordings, online chat logs, and documentation of teaching and research activities were collected. Results show that teachers'knowledge sharing is achieved through three practices:knowledge transfer at the individual level, knowledge construction at the team level, and knowledge integration at the organizational level. This process is influenced by personal characteristics, interpersonal interactions, and organizational mechanisms. This study can provide insights for optimizing teachers'knowledge sharing practices and improving the construction of virtual professional learning communities.
