摘要
叶适碑志文中描写了名臣良吏、文士儒生、布衣处士等人物形象.叶适能够根据人物不同的身份行迹, 突出人物的主要个性.在碑志文写作中, 叶适或者以事述人, 突出人物主要事迹与个性, 具体表现为:围绕同一历史性大事件描写多位墓主, 以史写人;选取墓主一生的典型事迹或品格, 以事述人;旁见侧出, 未见其传已识其人.或者以景写人, 烘托人物品行与操守, 即在碑志文中创造性地以墓主生前优美的居地环境来烘托人物高尚德操.总之, 这种"随其资质, 与之形貌"的写人技法, 使得叶适的碑志文呈现出丰富多彩的艺术风格, 在宋代散文发展史上具有不可小觑的地位和意义.
Abstract
Ye Shi represents many figures in his epitaphs such as well-known officials, scholars and civilians of high morality.Ye Shi can highlight their main personality in line with their status and tracks.While composing his epitaphs, Ye Shi either describes a person with events so that his chief achievements and personality may be highlighted, concretely representing the following cases:many tomb occupants are described around one historic event;or introduces a person with typical deeds or morality of the tomb owner;or narrates a person with his life or stories of other people closely related with the tomb owner, through which he can be known before their biographies are read.Besides he depicts a person with scenery so as to set off by contrast his moral conduct and personal integrity.That is, the person's noble morality is shown off by the exquisite living environment before his death in epitaphs.All in all, such a writing technique with depiction of a person's image in accordance with his quality enables Ye Shi's fruitful and colorful artistic styles in epitaphs, which has an important position and significance in the history of prose development during the Song Dynasty.
