ESG Performance,Internal Control and Corporate Innovation Performance——The Moderating Role of Digital Transformation
To investigate the impact of ESG on corporate innovation performance,this paper uses the sample data from listed companies in China from 2013 to 2022,and empirically examines the effects and mechanisms of ESG performance on corporate innovation performance.The results show that ESG performance can effectively improve the corporate innovation performance by strengthening the level of internal control.Further research finds that digital transformation can positively moderate the relationship between ESG performance and corporate innovation performance.Moreover,the heterogeneity test results reveal that the impact of ESG performance on corporate innovation performance is more significant in non-state-owned enterprises and high-tech enterprises.
