Digital Economy,Modernization of Industrial Chain and High Quality Economic Development:Mechanism and Implementation Path
In the context of the rapid development of digital economy and the beginning of Chinese path to modernization,the integration of data and reality has become an important issue for high-quality economic development.The digital economy can inject vitality into the modernization of the industrial chain,thereby providing impetus and guarantee for industrial development.Exploring the mechanism of the interaction between the digital economy and high-quality economic development from the perspective of industrial chain modernization can help clarify the relationship between the three and deeply realize the path of digital industry high-quality development.Based on this,panel data from 31 provinces and cities across the country from 2013 to 2020 were collected to empirically analyze how the digital economy empowers high-quality economic development through modernization of the industrial chain.The research results indicate that:(1)The digital economy has significantly promoted high-quality economic development;(2)In the promotion of high-quality economic development in the digital economy,the promotion effect in the western region is significant,the promotion effect in the eastern region is not significant,and the inhibitory effect in the central and northeastern regions is not significant;(3)The intermediary mechanism results show that the modernization of the industrial chain is a partial intermediary for the digital economy to promote high-quality economic development;(4)Further heterogeneity testing results show that the modernization of the industrial chain in the western region is a complete intermediary for the digital economy to promote high-quality economic development.Finally,it is proposed to empower the modernization of industrial chain structure,industrial chain coordination,industrial chain integration,and industrial chain innovation with the digital economy,in order to promote high-quality economic development.
