Research on the Collaborative Development of Digital Economy and Fiscal Sustainability
With the rapid development of the digital economy,it has effectively promoted the further optimization of fiscal expenditure structure and improved the efficiency of financial resource allocation.Based on China's provincial panel data from 2011 to 2020,the coupling coordination degree model is constructed to calculate the coupling coordination of digital economy development and fiscal sustainability in each region. On this basis, the spatial econometric model is further used to analyze the driving factors of the system coupling coordination of digital economy development and fiscal sustainability. The empirical results show that.Firstly, the development level of the digital economy and fiscal sustainability both show a linear upward trend, and there is obvious regional heterogeneity.Secondly, the coupling coordination degree between digital economy development and fiscal sustainability is gradually decreasing in low-value areas, and the coupling coordination degree in the eastern region is significantly higher than that in the central and western regions.Provinces with high coupling coordination degree are all located in the eastern coastal areas. Finally, through the analysis of driving factors, the main driving factors for the coupling and coordination of digital economy development and fiscal sustainability include economic development level, opening up level, industrial structure, technological innovation level, government intervention degree, and fiscal autonomy. However, fiscal pressure and marketization degree have a negative impact on the coupling and coordination of the two systems. In the context of the development of the digital economy,we should optimize the structure of fiscal expenditure, improve the incentive system of fiscal and taxation policies, and promote the coordinated development of the digital economy and fiscal sustainability with an efficient fiscal operation mechanism.
