Discussion on the Trends and Hotspots of Cytokine Storm Research in China
To explore its research hotspots and trends by analyzing the related achievements in the field of cytokine storm in recent ten years by means of bibliometrics.The literature related to cytokine storm was retrieved and collected.CiteSpace 6.1 R1,Carrot 2 were applied to visually display the knowledge maps in this field,such as the literature change trend,author cooperation map,institutional cooperation relationship,keyword co-occurrence,and keyword clustering and the information contained in the map was extracted as well.Finally,559 articles were included;the results demonstrated that the number of publications in 2020 was the highest.The research teams in this field had been formed,represented by Wei Jie,Lu Hongzhou,Jiang Zhisheng,Yu Xiaohui;at the same time,research institutions were on behalf of Peking Union Medical College,Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.The results of keyword analysis showed that the research frontiers in this field mainly included cytokine storm of intervention by traditional Chinese medicine and its application in the treatment of COVID-19.This study has further pointed out the current research hot spots and frontiers by intuitively displaying the research results of cytokine storm in the past ten years,which can provide a reference for further research in this field.
