Analysis of the Influence of Torsional Speed on the Torsional Strength and Shear Modulus of Cast Iron
To avoid the rupture of brittle materials during use,it is necessary to test and analyze their mechanical properties. This paper firstly measures the torsional strength and shear elastic modulus of brittle material cast iron at different torsion rates through torsion tests, and analyzes the relationship between torsion rate and the torsional strength and shear elastic modulus of cast iron through trend analysis. Then, numerical analysis is applied to simulate the fitting curves between different torsion rates and the torsional strength and shear elastic modulus of cast iron during the torsion process. The research results indicate that within the elastic range of torsion, the torsional strength and shear elastic modulus of cast iron are directly proportional to the torsion rate;while the elastic range of torsion is exceeded, the torsional strength and shear elastic modulus of cast iron are inversely proportional to the torsion rate.In practical applications,to ensure the mechanical properties and service life of the material,it is necessary to determine the appropriate range of torsion rate and temperature conditions based on specific material properties and engineering requirements.
