Comparison of Chondrocytes Induced by Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cell between Rats and Rabbits
The ideal cartilage stem cells were obtained by comparing the induced differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)into chondrocytes between rats and rabbits.BMSCs from both femurs of rats and rabbits were cultured and induced by dexamethasone, transforming growth factor β1 protein(TGF-β1)and insulin. And they were identified by toluidine blue staining and type Ⅱ collagen immunostaining. There was a extremely significant difference in rats'BMSCs between the induction group and the control group, while there was a significant difference in rabbits'BMSCs between the induction group and the control group. The morphology of the BMSCs in rats has changed from fibrous to polygonal, while the morphology of BMSCs in rabbits did not change significantly and the cells were aggregated. The ability of rat BMSCs to differentiate into chondrocytes is more obvious, showed that rat BMSCs is an ideal stem cell.
