Physiological Characteristics and Nutritional Support Strategies for Ultimate Frisbee
In recent years, the number of participants in ultimate frisbee has been continuously increasing. However, due to a lack of a deep understanding of the sport's characteristics and inadequate nutritional support, athletes not only experience a decline in performance, but also face a relatively high incidence of sports injuries.Through an analysis of the characteristics of ultimate frisbee,it is evident that the sport primarily involves aerobic intermittent high-intensity activities. Therefore, there are several measures to enhance athletic performance and prevent sports injuries:supplementing carbohydrates to enhance glycogen storage and maintain stable blood glucose levels during competitions, supplementing high-quality proteins to facilitate muscle recovery and improve muscle efficiency, supplementing water, electrolytes, sodium bicarbonate and β-alanine to ensure stability in the internal environment, supplementing caffeine or phosphatidylserine to maintain central nervous system arousal, consuming foods rich in vitamins or antioxidant supplements to alleviate oxidative stress during exercise.
