The Ecological Wisdom of the Traditional Dong Village Landscape Construction
The traditional Dong villages, which are abundant in number and relatively preserved well in Hunan, Guangxi and Guizhou provinces, contain rich ecological wisdom of construction.On the basis of a field investigation of the typical traditional Dong villages in the area, this paper analyzes the specific expressions of ecological wisdom in the aspects of the faith culture, the locating and planning of villages, and the building technique of the landscape.It also explores the application of the ecological wisdom in the construction of mountain forests, river systems, farmland and architectural landscape.Having the characteristics of concordance, aesthetics and locality, the ecological wisdom of the traditional Dong villages is of certain enlightenment and application value for the improvement of human settlements landscape and the construction of ecological civilization in contemporary Dong ethnic region.
