Enterprise Participation in Targeted Poverty Alleviation and Access to Credit Resources:Empirical Evidence from Shanghai and Shenzhen A-Shares
Based on the perspective of resource dependence and social exchange theory, this paper stud-ied the impact of enterprises'participation in targeted poverty alleviation on the access to credit resources by taking Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies as samples. The results show that participating in targeted poverty alleviation can help enterprises obtain more credit resources, especially for private enterprises. This positive effect is enhanced when private enterprises are politically connected.Further research shows that enterprises involved in targeted poverty alleviation also receive more government subsidy support. Therefore,it is proposed to carry out reforms in terms of system innovation, scientific formulation and standardization of pref-erential policies for poverty alleviation, promote the transformation of China's poverty governance from"cam-paign-style"to"institutional"governance,and push forward the transformation and upgrading of the poverty alleviation model of private enterprises.
