Cattle and Sheep Fattening and Inter-Ethnic Interaction:Formation of a Multi-Ethnic Symbiotic and Mutually Beneficial Community in the Agricultural and Pastoral Areas
Cattle and sheep fattening,as a characteristic industry in the combination of agricultural and pastoral ar-eas,has not only become an important channel for farmers and herdsmen to increase their incomes,but also connect multi-ple ethnic groups in different regions and links,which weave them into the same organic economy and social network.Cat-tle and sheep fattening has become an important way to promote multi-ethnic exchanges and integration.The article takes Xunhua as the fieldwork area and takes each link of the cattle and sheep fattening industry as the unit,finds that in the stages of cattle and sheep trafficking,fattening,slaughtering,and selling,Salar,Tibetan,Hui,Han and other ethnic groups carry out extensive and in-depth interaction,and form an organic reciprocal relationship across regions and multi-ethnic.The multi-ethnic mutualistic symbiosis relationship promoted by cattle and sheep fattening provides a typical case of de-veloping harmonious ethnic relations and has important implications for the current promotion of exchanges and integra-tion of ethnic groups.
