Assessment of green roof potential:A case study in Nankai District,Tianjin
Green roofs are of great significance in mitigating the adverse effects of urbanization.The Tianjin area is highly urbanized,but the development of green roofs is relatively lagging behind,and there is a lack of feasibility assessment and planning schemes for the large-scale construction of green roofs.This study takes Nankai District of Tianjin as an example,and selects building attributes and greening demand degree as evalu-ation criteria to establish a system for assessing the potential of green roofs suitable for construction.Based on GIS and TOPSIS,the spatial distribution of green roofs in Nankai District of Tianjin is presented.The results of the study show that the suitable area of green roofs in Nankai District is about 5.17 km2,and the average score of suitable potential is 0.53,and the suitable potential shows a trend of"high in the north and low in the south".There are 46 highly suitable communities in Nankai District,and prioritizing the construction of green roofs in suitable communities can more effectively play its role in improving the urban environment.
