Growth Regularity of Michelia macclurei Plantation in Southeastern of Guangxi
The growth regularity of Michelia macclurei plantation in southeastern of Guangxi was studied with the method of stem analysis. The results showed that the growth rate of DBH increased rapidly by the year before the age of 8 years, and during the age of 8~ 28 years, the its growth kept at a high level. The rapid growth phase of tree height focused on the first 15 years, during this period, there were two pronounced peaks. The average growth of stem volume did not reach the maximum value in 31 years, indicating that the stem volume did not reach the quantity of mature. In the first half of the period, the species was mainly for the growth of tree height, and in the latter half of the period, it was mainly for growth of DBH. The quadratic curve model was superior to the growth process of DBH and tree height in the M.macclurei plantation, and the Compertz model was superior to the growth process of stem volume, and these growth model had a good correlation , which could be applied to production.
