Comprehensive Analysis on the Distribution Pattern and Constituent Factors Affecting Seedling Biomass of Woody Energy Plant Pistacia chinensis
Pistacia chinensis is an important woody energy plant for the production of bio-diesel in China.Through investigating the biomasses of different organs and seedling growth features in seedling stage, the biomass distribution patterns and main influencing factors were analyzed. The results showed that biomasses of different organs of P.chinensis seedlings from high to low were root, branch, and leaf. The total biomass aboveground was slightly higher than the underground, no significant difference.Positive correlations were found among all organs and the 8 traits were studied through path analysis and gradual regression comprehensive analysis.Ground diameter, seedling height, crown and leaf area were the dominant constituent factors for the biomass accumulation in seedling stage.Other factors, such as root range and main root length also had positive influence on the biomass accumulation, indicating they were also the constituent factors. Therefore, only all the factors were well integrated, would the goals of promoting biomass accumulation and raising vigorous seedlings be achieved. The mathematical models on the biomass of different organs and the growth traits of P.chinensis were established, which could be used to forecast the total biomass in its seedling stage under the site conditions in southern China.
