Population Spatial Pattern of Populus simonii at Different Developmental Stages in the East of Hobq Desert
Populus simonii plantations occurring in the easthern margin of Hobq Desert in Dalateqi,Inner Mongolia were used as the research objects to study the spatial distribution patterns and interspecific relationship in different developmental stages using point pattern analysis method. The results showed that 1) P.simonii was the single dominant species in the plantations, only arbor and herbaceous species occurred in the whole system, resulting in a simple species structure that was unfavorable for the.community stability.2) In the desert environment, the single species distribution pattern for P.simonii was random distribution.3) In different developmental stages,The spatial distribution pattern of P.simonii was dominated by random distribution.Relatively significant and positive correlationship was observed among different populations, indicating that the natural environment had significant influence on the formation of spatial pattern.
