Study on Quality Change and Loss of Corn Cob under Different Storage Methods in Liaoning Area
Maize is a major food crop, which is susceptible to fungal infection before and after harvest. When conditions are suitable, fungi will actively grow and multiply, and accumulate secondary metabolites such as my-cotoxins,which seriously threatens the storage safety of maize. In this paper, based on the two methods of corn storage in Liaoning Province, farmers in western Liaoning Province and northern Liaoning Province, grain storage farmers were selected to carry out a solid bin test, and the indexes of moisture, fatty acid value, bulk density, gibberellenone and vomitoxin of corn in temporary storage were tracked and measured, and compared and sum-marized.The results showed that the indexes of corn stored in containers were significantly better than those of corn lying in scattered piles.
