Food quality and safety is one of the required professional foundation courses for food majors in higher vocational colleges and universities,which is highly theoretical,applied and social.Focusing on the goal of"combining knowledge transfer and value",and in conjunction with the educational concept of"course politics",the elements of politics in the programme are developed in depth and integrated into the teaching and practical training process.Carrying out permeable ideological and political education,strengthening students'awareness of food quality and safety and sense of social responsibility,realising the effective coupling of the elements of ideol-ogy and professional knowledge,playing a role in the synergy of professional courses and course ideology,and continuously improving the ability of course ideology and political education in practice;it has far-reaching sig-nificance of practice and application and promotion for the enhancement of students'literacy.
