Inheritance and Invention:Modernity Reconstruction of Traditional Festival Culture
As symbolic ceremonies and events to remember,preserve and display the unique culture of a specific group of people,traditional festivals have special values and significance in contemporary society because of their cultural characteristics,so they are protected and inherited.Modern times,relying on respecting and exalting human subjectivity,leads and stimulates the"rebirth"of traditional festivals in modern society by means of industrialization,marketization,civilization and technicalization,so as to realize the invention and recreation of traditional festivals.The two parallel states of inheritance and invention inherent in the modernization practice of traditional festivals determine and derive the contradictory relations between tradition and modernity,phenomenon and essence,inheritance and invention,culture and politics and their objective laws in the modernity reconstruction of traditional festivals,and finally shaped the logical structure and practical orientation of the modernity reconstruction of traditional festivals.
