Effects of Planting Density and Sowing Date on the Shatter Resistance of Brassica napus Pods
In this paper,6 cultivars of Brassica napus were used to study the effect of plant density and sowing date on the shatter resistance of Brassia napus pods. The density set as 30 × 104,45 × 104,60× 104 hm-2,the sowing dates were September 25th and October 1st.The results indicated that planting density had significant effects on the shatter resistance of pods, this impact may be caused by the changes of plant traits and silique characteristics in different planting densities.Sowing dates had no significant effect on anti-cracking ability of pods.
