Effects of Combined Brackish Water Irrigation and Soil Amendment on Ion Composition and Cotton Growth of Clay Coastal Solonchak
Clay coastal solonchak in Cangzhou was served as research materials, the effects of combined brackish water irrigation and soil amendment on total salt content,pH value, ion composition of the coastal saline soil, germination rate, plant height and dry mass of cotton were discussed by pot experiment,The results showed that the ion composition of different treatments varied in 0-20 cm soil layer after applying soil amendments. The biggest change was detected in T1 treatment.Compared with the control,pH value, total salt content,Na+,K+,Cl-and total alkalinity(HCO3-+CO32-)in soil decreased 0.43 %,0.10 %,14.02 %,0.30 %,22.26 % and 5.03 %,respectively. The content of Ca2+,Mg2+and SO42-increased by 4.40%,0.11% and 36.43%,respectively.The germination rate, plant height of cotton and dry mass in T1 treatment were super to other treatments and control, which indicated that T1 treatment can promote cotton growth. Therefore, among all treatments, the better effect of improvement coastal saline soil was T1 with straw, phosphogypsum, pig manure, humic acid and FeSO4.So it is the most suitable saline-alkali soil amendment combinations of Cangzhou clay coastal solonchak.
