Effect of Late Frost on Wine Grape Quality and Preventive Measures in the Hexi Corridor of Gansu Province
In order to study the effect of late frost on wine grape quality and analysis the best preventive measures to reduce frost damage to grape industry,the paper summarized the experience of grape frost prevention for more than 10 years,and compared fruit quality of wine grapes with or without frost-preventive measures.The result showed that a comprehensive measure of firing plus smoking is an economic and effective comprehensive measure to prevent frost damage.At the same time,the contents of fruit sugar and tannin,which closely related to fruit quality,increases greatly compared with other measures,and sensory evaluation score of fruit is high as well.So,the economic and effective measures for grape frost prevention in Gansu Hexi Corridor region proposed will be helpful to overcome the currently constraints of frost damage to the development of grape industry in the region,and can be referred for the prevention of frost damage in different climate conditions.
