QTL Mapping and Candidate Gene Identification for C18:3 Content in Brassica napus L
To investigate the quantitative trait loci(QTLs)associated with linolenic acid(C18:3)con-tent in Brassica napus,we utilized the KN population was used as experimental material.A localiza-tion study was conducted using phenotypic data on linolenic acid content from rapeseed seeds collected over seven consecutive years, combined with composite interval mapping and the KN high-density ge-netic linkage map.The analysis identified 72 QTLs influencing linolenic acid content, distributed across 10 chromosomes. The highest concentration was on chromosome A08 with 18 QTLs,followed by 11 QTLs each on chromosomes A10 and C03.The phenotypic variation explained by individual QTLs ranged from 2.67%to 17.26%.Three major QTLs for linolenic acid content were located on chromosome A08,including cqC18:3-A8-1,cqC18:3-A8-3,and cqC18:3-A8-4.Through gene anno-tation and interval analysis,11 candidate genes potentially linked to linolenic acid content were identi-fied.
