Mind-reading is an important field in folk psychology, which is about how common person understand, explain and predict mental states and actions in our life.Theory of theory, simulation theory, and hybrid models are major theories of folk psychology. All of them explain parts of the false-belief task, and all of them have limitations, too. For instance, they have difficulties in explaining how social-cultural factors influence mind-reading.Therefore,we propose a revised model of representational redescription(RRr).Our model can overcome their limitations, especially in explaining how social-cultural factors influence mind-reading.In RRr model,we suggest the mechanisms of theory of theory and simulating theory depict one side of mind-reading process. In the framework of representational redescription,we provide explanations of duck-rabbit illusion and Müller-Lyer illusion.Meanwhile,we explain how language ability and cognitive penetrability influence the mind-reading process.
