The Semiotizing Risk of Internet Public Opinion and Its Governance Path
Internet public opinion is actually a practice of semiosis, whose semiotic logic reflects the deep social context. With the support of internet technology,it has formed a new public opinion pattern, such as changes in public connotation, confusion between public and private fields, the pervasiveness of postmodern discourse, and the visibility of public opinion. It will lead to systematic risks such as the loss of the basis of debate, the intensification of ideological risks, the evacuation of the public opinion base, and the manifestation of public opinion games. It has also caused a series of specific semiotic problems such as language violence, authenticity crisis, symbolic order destruction, and ideological weakening.Accordingly, the proposition of semiotizing governance of online public opinion was proposed, which attempts to construct a methodology for governance of online public opinion based on semiotic logic,in order to establish effective paths for semiotizing governance at the levels of semiotic representation, intention expression, order construction, and cognitive models, and ultimately achieve good governance of the overall social order.
