DEP(Dishevelled,Egg-laying defective protein 10 and Pleckstrin)结构域由约90个保守的氨基酸残基组成,最早在 DVL(Dishevelled)、EGL-10(Egg-laying defective protein 10)和PLEK(Pleckstrin)三个蛋白中被发现.越来越多的证据表明,DEPDC(DEP domain-containing)超家族蛋白在生物学中扮演着多种重要的角色,特别是与生物体内信号转导及癌症等相关.该文浅析了DEPDC超家族蛋白的结构与功能,以期为今后进一步揭开DEP结构域的结构与功能奠定基础.
Structure and Function of DEPDC Superfamily Proteins
DEP(Dishevelled,Egg-laying defective protein 10 and Pleckstrin)domain consists of about 90 conserved amino acid residues and is first identified in three proteins including DVL(Dishevelled),EGL-10(Egg-laying defective protein 10)and PLEK(Pleckstrin).Increasing evidences have shown that DEPDC(DEP domain-containing)superfamily proteins play various roles in biology,especially in signal transduction and cancer.In this paper,the structure and function of DEPDC superfamily proteins are analyzed in order to lay a foundation for fur-ther elucidating the structure and function of the DEP domain.
